I works with a SCPH-75000 Model (Built-in ethernet) I and since I can't enjoy a HDD I'm trying to boot Linux with Netbooting. Although I have patched the kernels with all smap "patches" that I found everywhere (even the one recommended by sara, falcone, and so on..) my PS2 always replies:
eth0: MAC address 00:04:1f:f3:db:44
eth0: Auto-negotiation timeout, not complete(BMSR=7849)
eth0: Auto-negotiation timeout, not complete(BMSR=7849)
eth0: Auto-negotiation timeout, not complete(BMSR=7849)
eth0: try 100Mbps Half duplex mode...
eth0: try 10Mbps Half duplex mode...
eth0: link not valid
eth0: fail force speed mode. link not valid. phystat=0x0000
eth0: link not valid
eth0: link not valid
After some time working on it I suppose that the smap.c Linux driver designed originally to the ethernet network adapater (50000 Series) doesn't work with the ethernet built-in. Could Sony provide a new version of smap.o for these built-in ethernet?
Thanks |
