SUBJECT: 2.4/2.5 kernel?

Is there any progress in porting a newer kernel over? I wouldn't think doing 2.4 would be good since 2.5 is advancing and maturing. I think it would be great if the Rhino kernel porters got together with the linux-mips mailing list, which already has some excellent mips-linux kernel experts on it. Just a thought/hope.
