Summary:Closing down playstation2-linux.com

After 7 years of service, the time has come when we must plan for closing down this site. We appreciate there are some valuable downloads and postings here, and we're looking at continuing to provide an archive of those for you once the site is gone - please let us know what you'd vote for putting in there.

SPS2? VCL? Let us know! We have a few months left to go, but by the end of October 2009 we will be looking at closing down the site as it stands now.

Thanks to all the enthusiastic members of the PS2Linux community!

Sarah.

SUBJECT: RE: 7 weeks to go? Any news?

Hi Steve,

This work is something that realistically, I'm doing in my own time, so the hard part is getting that time and not setting up the archive :)

I've spent a little while tonight looking at the main forums, and I'm pretty sure I can get a nice set of text files together containing the contents of the posts grouped by thread. It's not going to be super pretty but it should be readable enough, and as a plain text file it will be very easy to search using whatever tools you like offline.

So my plan at the moment is to post up an archive containing a folder for every interesting project, with its downloads, and then text files for the forum content, one file per forum.

The general forum is pretty huge, I'll see how big that ends up being.

So in summary, it's had a little attention and I still fully expect to get an archive posted up.
