Summary:Closing down playstation2-linux.com

After 7 years of service, the time has come when we must plan for closing down this site. We appreciate there are some valuable downloads and postings here, and we're looking at continuing to provide an archive of those for you once the site is gone - please let us know what you'd vote for putting in there.

SPS2? VCL? Let us know! We have a few months left to go, but by the end of October 2009 we will be looking at closing down the site as it stands now.

Thanks to all the enthusiastic members of the PS2Linux community!

Please don't spider the site and download everything right now!

If you all did that...you'd probably bring it down at this point.

I'm not sure that it's worth having a copy where all of the pages are browseable in the current web format. As long as all the posts are in a form where you can use a text search tool to search them, I think that would be useful enough.

The general forum is so massive and full of random content I'm not sure it's even worth offering the whole thing for download..but I guess it wouldn't do any harm.

I haven't spent any time on creating an archive yet, but I certainly do intend that we'll offer something you can grab as one giant archive...an ISO image is interesting. We'll see what size it comes to.
