We finally have rules, specs, and the harness available for download in the VU Demo Contest project:

The competition is open to amateurs with Linux kits everywhere; professional PlayStation 2 developers are welcome to send us demos in time for the deadline, and we will be happy to post them on the site, however please note that if you are a professional PlayStation 2 developer, you will not be able to officially enter to be considered for judging and prizes.

To enter, download the harness, review the rules and terms, and write a VU1 demo in accordance with the technical specs. Submit your demo to with your name, e-mail address, and if you are happy to have it disclosed, your login.

You have until Midnight GMT on Monday 21st July to send in your entries (Sunday night/Monday Morning).
