Ball Game - Summary
Summary | Home Page | Forums | Bugs | Lists | Docs | Source | Files | Welcome to Ball Game, your aim is to direct your ball to the goal on each level, sound easy? Then think again, you dont have direct control over your ball, instead you have to shoot it around the level, a bit like a pool ball, but this isn't some nice flat pool table, you'll have to content with gravity, wind, water and slopes, of course you're not entirely helpless, no you can collect power spheres along the way which allow you to change the properties of you ball (such as making it bouncy, or solid and heavy, or even turning it into a cube), but remember you can only carry a few of these spheres at once, it's up to you to decide which ones you want and which ones you leave behind. The game is controlled using the mouse, simply move the mouse to scroll the level around the ball, when you think you know where you want to go then click and hold the left mouse button and pull back in the opposite direction to line up your shot and set the power, then simply let go of the mouse button and bang, whilst holding the mouse button down use the wheel to change the amount of top/back spin you want to apply to the ball. Once in flight the wheel will cycle through the spheres you are carrying and the right mouse button will select one. Here's a few of the spheres you can expect to collect during the game:
Rubber - Turns your ball into a rubber ball that will bounce further. There are many more to find in the game. The game has two play modes: Platform and Puzzle Platform acts like a normal game, you'll guide your ball around a series of levels collecting spheres, avoiding enemies, trying to get to the exit. Puzzle gives you a fixed number of shots and spheres per level, the goal is simple, make it to the exit using only the abilities given to you, score more points for finishing with shots and/or spheres left at the end.
