Summary:Europe: Student placements at SCEE, London

Note: The application form is now closed - thank you to everyone who has applied. You should hear from us in due course.

Applications are now open for student placements (internships) working within the Technology Group at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, London. If you are taking a computer science degree, have experience in C/C++/Assembly, and you're looking for a year-long industrial placement, please consider applying via our Technology Group website. Placements begin in July.

Experience programming with the Linux kit would be considered valuable, and part of your responsibilities at SCEE might include working on PS2Linux projects.

SUBJECT: Qualifictions

On a similar note, I hope, are there any guides on the net saying what qualifications we, the people just finishing GCSEs, should be looking for if we are looking for a job in the games industry?

(Obviously different qualifictions are expected for different ares, like for instance a lot of qualifications in computers and programming would be next to useless for a concept artist)

Hope somebody can point me in the correct direction! :)
