Summary:15 March 2004: Linux for PlayStation 2 pricing

On the 15th March 2004, Linux for PlayStation 2 was reduced in price.

Consequently the kit has sold out in North America, and been discontinued in that territory.

Sales continue in Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, and other PAL territories.

Complete information is available in the FAQ under "Availability".

For Europe, Africa and the Middle East, the new price is €149 + tax. If you have any connection with a school or university, let us know about it to obtain the discounted price of €99 + tax.

(Please be reassured that playstation2-linux.com continues to fill with material, and will be maintained and hosted for as long as is possible, long after stock is sold out).

I say:

ER? The kit's doing so well that they discontinued it? Where's the logic here? Are the next gens coming out soon or something? What am I missing? I was just now running my mouth about well psx linux is doing, but should I retract? Is this a dead end system now?

Someone help me out here?
