Summary:xRhino Releases Debian-based GNU/Linux Distribution for PlayStation 2

xRhino today released version 1.0 of their BlackRhino GNU/Linux distribution for the Sony PlayStation® 2 game console. A tools and middleware developer for the PS2, xRhino has been involved with and continues to contribute to the PS2 Linux community. BlackRhino GNU/Linux is a port of Debian GNU/Linux to the Sony PlayStation® 2 game console. It contains over 1200 software packages; simple games, text editors, compilers, web servers, windowing systems, database systems, graphics packages, mail servers and a variety of other development tools and utilities comprise the extensive toolset. The smap.o driver distributed on this site does NOT work across all PS2 revisions.

I posted to message to see if at least one other person was affected by this, I guess the answer is yes :P. I will post an updated smap.o for Sony's 2.2.1 and xRhino's 2.2.21-xr7-pre1 on http://www.0xd6.org/ before the weekend is out.

iloco, I still would be interested in hearing what version of PS2 you have, as the other one we fixed was a SCPH-350001 (not all of these are broken).
