BY: schumi DATE: 2008-Feb-02 01:16 SUBJECT: Getting a PS2 Linux KitI've thought of getting the PS2 Linux Kit for some time now. Sounds like a very cool thing, every PS2 users dream. But the thing is, I'm a newbie and have NO experience at all with this. I'd like to ask a few questions. I assume it works with all older fat PS2s (I've got model SCPH-50004)?
1) It's pretty darn hard to set up, right? Especially for a person without experience... (meaning I would need the help of an expert)
2) My computer monitor is a LG FLATRON L1732S and I'm not sure if it supports this 'sync-on-green'. And even if it doesn't, I would always be able to just use the TV monitor, right? [Living in Europe btw, that is PAL region]
3) I've already got a broadband router (for shared internet connection with my neighbor), so I would just be able to plug it in there, right?
4) Is the Network Access Disc in the kit with the Network Adaptor or would it have to be purchased separately?
5) A new memory card would be needed to use as a boot card, right? |
