SUBJECT: PS3 CompatabilityI got a PS3 for Christmas, and while I know that you can install nearly any distro on the PS3, I want to know, if I were to get ahold of the US discs would they install properly on the PS3? The reason being is that other distros like YDL or SUSE treat the PS3's hardware slightly differently when booting into Linux than if you boot into the XMB, and I think that issues regarding the hw might be alleviated by installing from the XMB rather than using the PS3's bootloader. |
