SUBJECT: ext3 + sps2?

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone had a reliable way to get a kernel working that has ext3 support without breaking compatibility with sps2. I also want to maintain access to the various PS2 devices, especially the memory cards.

I've been trying to apply various ext3 patches to the 2.2.1 kernel that comes with the Linux kit, and while I've come close it still has some significant problems. Most notably, after a while the system starts complaining about too many open files - apparently I messed something up in dealing with some of the patch rejections.

If anyone knows of another effort that has accomplished this, I'd *really* appreciate hearing about it!

Thanks,

Chris
