SUBJECT: 2.4.x Compiling problem - mipsEEel-linux-ld

I'm tryng to compile the kernel 2.4 from sony, I am at the make step and I receive an error because the application mipsEEel-linux-ld do not exist, is there an rpm on the cd for that ? :(
