SUBJECT: Diskless ProjectI've read a great deal about using the memory card (MC) to boot Linux by either placing a Linux filesystem on the MC or the proper files to allow a network boot.
My crux problem here is accessing the MC. Does anyone know how to move files onto an official blank MC without the use of a factory created CD or DVD?
There are numerous products out there that allow for transference from USB to MC or PC to MC. I'd prefer not to purchase these products. The README of ps2boot-1.tar.gz seems to assume you already have a factory pressed copy of PS2 Linux that lets you alter the memory card. It's also impossible to set up a FTP between a PC and MC (via ethernet and PS2 network adapter) in order to put files (ie .elf or xrhino filesystem) onto the memory card. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. |
