I'm trying to use the last binutils and gcc patches from ps2dev, not sure if it's the right place where to start, but they seem very promising in their development.
I would like to use the 2.6.7 kernel because I'm 100% sure that my usb ADSL modem will work with it and therefore without using the network adaptator. Nice to try something not usual.
My first steps are to build the binutils and gcc, and then with the documentation on linuxfromscratch, I will be able to add glibc and other librairies.
When all that is finished, I'll try to get Suse on PS2, I'm still in contact with Novell to get this possible. Just a brief reply from Suse, but no reply yet from Novell!
Now that the introduction is made, I would like to know if someone as try the same thing? I already asked on ps2dev but they told me to come here. But I just want some advice on the binutils and gcc as a first step.
I bougth the Linux PS2 kit, kernel version is 2.2.1, binutils is 2.9 and gcc is 2.95.2.
Thanks in advance for the replies. |
