kpackage STOPS working!!

Original Submission:
under the kde desktop when you upgrade rpml it just stops working!
here i reproduced the error:

[root@c0w-b0x /root]# kpackage
kpackage: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/librpmbuild.so.0: undefined symbol: rpmGlobalMacroContext
[root@c0w-b0x /root]#
ive YET to get a response or a resolution. please look into this because
now i have to wipe out my system. AND rpm is STILL not upgraded!!!!!
(because of this glitch, i dont think ima upgrade it now, i use kpackage
ALOT and it IS taking away alot since i cant SEE my rpmdatabase.)

I take it you are using kpackage that comes with PS2L, this version of kpackage was built against RPM 3.0.4 (which comes with PS2L). Getting the source rpm for kpackage and rebuilding it will most likely solve your problem.2003-Jan-07 15:58mrich
